#1 - OFF THE RECORD
DIY, Low-fi, gonzo music series
I've always been super interested in music and between 2013 and 2017, I produced a music series with a few friends of mine.
Off The Record was dedicated to giving space to up and coming, musical artists in India. Arming ourselves with only the basic DSLRs & laughable audio equipment, we snuck into abandoned ruins, recording studios, music venues, and boats to shoot the best 'music videos' we could with the limited resources we had at the time. We got to make fun content & the musicians got a video to promote themselves online.
#2- THE OTHER WAY
AN 'INDIE' DOCUMENTARY ON INDIE FILMMAKERS
In 2012, in a bar called Toons, my friend Aniket and I were doing what we did every time we drank - discussing movies and figuring out our place in the universe. Earlier that day, we had watched an amazing documentary called Press Pause Play. From that slightly inebriated mind came the idea of 'The Other Way' - a documentary on independent filmmakers in India. For the next 3 years, we spend every moment we could spare, trying to make this ridiculous dream a reality. The Other Way was our humble attempt to document these 'indie' filmmakers and their struggle to survive.

Some of the press coverage we received....

Editing the project took around 1.5 years...

#3 - OUR FRIEND JUNAID
(BEHIND THE SCENES)
The first video I ever edited...
This video obviously has a lot of sentimental value for me because it is the very first video I ever edited. It's the behind the scenes video for a short film I produced, wrote and later edited.
I hate this video for a lot of reasons - the grainy canon Canon 500D footage, the very lame cringe-worthy jokes & my obnoxious obsession with the 'Bebas' font. But I also love it for a lot of reasons. It represented a very happy time in my life. A time when anything seemed possible.
