The Ask:
Rebrand, Revamp & Re-Organize : CDS Idenity & Communication
Community Design Strategies is an Ontario based mobile design studio that facilitates design sprints and training to non-profits, community groups, and businesses. The co-founders, Jenny Whyte & Jeff Wheeldon needed our help to give CDS a much-needed facelift. Apart from re-designing their look, we also provided a long term communication strategy for them.
Approach:
CDS is all about simplifying complexity. This aspect needed to be reflected in the brand itself.
We decided to approach this project as CDS would have for their external clients.
After conducting a thorough brand audit with Jenny & Jeff, we identified key touchpoints that CDS needed to improve upon for their business to grow.
Solution:
We decided to change the name from Community Design Strategies to ‘Community Driven Strategies’ and we used this name to inspire us in everything CDS did from that point on.
1. We created a logo and a detailed brand guideline document for CDS.
2. Based on the brand guidelines, we created other collateral such as email signatures, business cards & social media posts.
3. We redesigned their website to reflect the new ‘CDS’.
4. We created a 3-month social media calendar for Instagram, FB & LinkedIn
5. We recreated all artworks on Canva so that Jeff & Jenny can modify them in the future.
